SUMMARY:Friday Public Program Fredericksburg's Glockenspiel Bell Tower at The Pioneer Museum
DESCRIPTION:Complimentary Public Programs on the first Friday of the month in the Gillespie County Historical Society Sanctuary. Programs will include guest speakers\, special collections pieces\, temporary exhibits\, book signings and more. Fredericksburg's Glockenspiel Bell Tower- presented by the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance. The vision of PCAA is to build a Glockenspiel Tower that stands as a testament to our shared history & our aspirations for the future. We envision creating a cultural legacy\; a community hub for residents\; a structure with architectural beauty while embracing history\; and a place for educational outreach. A glockenspiel typically involves bells\, clocks\, and animated figurines that tell a historical story or narration of an event in a region. For Fredericksburg\, the Bavarian-styled tower will open to reveal the animated figurines performing their show accompanied by music. Live stream available. Historical Society Sanctuary 312 W. San Antonio Street Doors open at 3 p.m. Program at 3:30 p.m. followed by Q&A Closing at 5 p.m. https://www.pioneermuseum.org/event-details/friday-public-program-2026-06-05-15-00
